Santa Cruz hurdler Biehl cleaned up Saturday after being talked into trying out for track by his father, who is a former triple jumper from Lynbrook High. Biehl edged St. Francis’ Cameron Hiserman the 100 hurdles [15.83 seconds] and Scotts Valley’s Pond in the 300 hurdles [42.51].
Biehl, a senior, said he’s well-aware of what kind of competition he’ll have at CCS.
“I’m ready for the experience,” he said. “There’s going to be some bros that are very, very fast. They eat, drink and sleep fast all day long.”
